Event Description![]()
Companies are becoming increasingly global and more dependent on their external partners and the supply chain plays a greater and greater role in their innovation strategy. As a result, companies need to not only consider how an innovation will affect the delivery of goods and services but also look at their supply chain operations with fresh eyes and a China focus.
As China's market matures with higher cost and increasing competition, companies will need to innovate in their supply chain models, put their processes together to better coordinate planning and execution and embrace more technology-focussed, cross-enterprise business process management.
On February 23, the Council is delighted to invite Billy Crotty (Chairman of SkinIt), Dara MacCaba (Founder of Lucid360), and Rasmus Duong-Grennet (Innovation Consultant from Innovation Center Denmark), joining us and leading discussion on the Supply Chain Innovation that will take a first look at the companies that are driving innovative supply chain models from, to or within China. It will feature the most cutting-edge concepts and advanced thinking in the field of supply chain management through a unique and interactive event experience. ![]() Where: Glo London, 1 South Wulumuqi Road, near Dongping Road. 乌鲁木齐南路1号,近东平路 Fee: RMB 200 for Council members, RMB 300 for non-Council members (breakfast included) Attachments

Billy Crotty, Chairman, SkinIt How to Create Winning Consumer Experiences From Your Supply ChainToday, foreign companies in China can only gain competitive advantage over local companies by developing products that meet consumer needs and having a highly efficient supply chain. Some supply chain managers believe that technology is the answer to an inefficient supply chain. However, not all foreign companies in China can afford to outsource the task of supply chain management or adopt the latest technology. In this session, Dara will draw on his broad experience in creating new consumer experiences in China and the emerging markets for Fortune 500 companies to discuss about the principles behind 'consumer-driven supply chain innovation.' Consumer-driven supply chain innovation seeks to integrate supply chain into product development and let consumers tell supply chain managers about their changing needs to reduce lead time, and more importantly, to ensure that consumers receive your new leading-edge product before they become unhappy and shop elsewhere.
