The Concept 
As the integrated supply chain becomes increasingly important, this programme seeks to educate participants on the basic concepts and terminology used. Participants will also have an understanding of the impact of problems/ glitches in the supply chain and its impact on other business processes and how to deal with accordingly.

Methodology
This seminar consists of a lively series of short participative lectures conveyed using plain uncomplicated explanations.  Learning will be facilitated through exercises and case studies.  Ample seminar materials will be given to participants so that these will be a constant source of reference to them.  Ample time will be allotted for group discussion.

This course is designed especially for those who have just begun to work in an integrated supply chain, be it manufacturing, retail, 3PL or others. The training is done in English and Chinese.

Biography

Vincent is the Logistics Manager of Xinfei Group in China. The Xinfei Group is China’s second largest manufacturer and distributor of refrigerators and freezers. The Xinfei Group is owned by Hong Leong Asia, which is listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange.
 
He is in charged of the overall logistics planning of the company. Distribution, storage and inventory control are part of his responsibilities. He works extensively with 3PL, warehousing and transport companies, across China, so as to ensure the lowest possible logistics cost for all the products.
 
Prior to joining Xinfei, Vincent is the Application and Logistics Manager for Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications for the Asia Pacific region. Working closely with vendor such as Flextronics and freight forwarding firm such as DHL, Vincent ensures a smooth supply chain for Sony Ericsson’s products in the Asia Pacific region.
 
After getting his bachelor degree, with Distinction in Transport and Logistics Management, from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Vincent started his career with a 3rd party logistics service provider in Singapore. With more than 9 years of working experience in the logistics function of manufacturing environment, Vincent has overcame challenges and delivered the results. His achievements include:  redesigning the supply chain and work procedures so as to achieve stock accuracy of 99.99% and a delivery fulfilment of above 98%.
 
Through his work, Vincent has interaction with suppliers and customers globally. He is able to see the cultural differences and the different work practices in each different country. So far, his work has brought him to the USA, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Europe and various parts of China.
 
Besides his work in Logistics Management, Vincent is actively engaged in sporting activities. He has completed several triathlon races in Southeast Asian countries and the Malaysia Half Ironman in Sep 2006.
 
Vincent likes to challenge himself constantly and his next goal is to compete in a full Ironman race.
