Biography

Goodyear Global Sourcing and AP Procurement Operations Experience
Manoj Mehta is General Manager, Global Sourcing & AP Procurement for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He leads Global Sourcing and AP Procurement operations with a team of 90 and 8 direct reports, responsible for defining & implementing Goodyear's sourcing strategy with $1.25 billion direct and indirect spend across 10 plants through out Asia Pacific. Mr. Mehta is dedicated to build organization and capabilities in China, India, Thailand and Vietnam to support LCC sourcing strategies across raw materials, capital equipment, finished goods, MRO & indirect materials to achieve LCC spend - 30% of global by 2012. He has solid experience in managing end to end Global Sourcing operations from supplier development to sourcing, quality assurance, supply chain, logistics, finance, planning, and controls as a P& L center. Mr. Mehta received a Master degree for Business Administration from University of Chicago in 2002 ands Doctor of Philosophy-Chemical Engineering from The State University of New York in 1996.

Recently the SAIC Motor Corporation Ltd and IVECO signed a framework agreement to further expand their cooperation. According to this agreement, based on the platform of the current SAIC IVECO C.V. Investment Co. Ltd., both sides intend to merge in China their resources and build an integrated commercial vehicle business system, creating a domestically leading and internationally competitive large-scale commercial vehicle company. SIH face a great challenge in Heavy Trucks China Market. Supply Chain Management is one of the pillars of business integration, as well as ICT and People Management.

Mr. Huchu Xu is a Director with Booz & Company in Shanghai. Mr. Xu has over 10 years of experience in management consulting. He has extensive experience in serving the Chinese government across multiple levels, as well as serving leading corporations, especially large state-owned enterprises, media and automotive companies. Mr. Xu has unique perspectives on urban and regional planning, governmental project planning, branding and marketing, service outsourcing, state-owned enterprise transformation, and media strategy. Mr. Xu is recognized as one of the most sophisticated management consulting experts who combines global best practices with deep insight in the Chinese consumer and market dynamics. Mr. Xu has successfully led large projects during his engagement with governments, state-owned enterprises, and companies from the media and automotive sectors. Prior to working in the consulting industry, Mr. Xu spent three years working in media-related industries and 5 years working with economic and trade function in the Chinese government.
