Supply Chain & Logistics Roadshow in TianjinThursday, Jan 21 2010 7:30 AM to Friday, Jan 22 2010 5:30 PM AWSTSpeaker .Event DescriptionREGISTRATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED - THE ROADSHOW IS FULLY BOOKED On January 21-22, the Council will organize a new 2-days trip to Tianjin with various stops at key manufacturing and logistics facilities. These visits will give you a good idea on how leading companies are running their supply chain and logistics operations in Tianjin. It's also a unique opportunity to spend two days out of the office and meet and network with Council members and other senior executives in supply chain, procurement or logistics. CommentsParticipation Fees: - Council members: RMB 950 (or US$ 140) plus transportation and hotel - Non-members: RMB 1,400 (or US$ 210) plus transportation and hotel The fee includes lunches for each day, transportation by first-class coach bus, refreshments. Dinner on the first night is not included in the fee. Hotel Booking: The Council is negotiating a special rate of RMB 598 net with the Hotel Nikko Tianjin. The rate includes one breakfast. Bookings will be made by the Council so participants can enjoy the discounted rate however payments should be made directly to the hotel. In full operation, the facility has a cargo handling capacity of 300,000 cartons and supply goods to up to 90 Wal-Mart stores in the region. The facility also features an array of sustainable measures and standards, including reducing emission of carbon dioxide, lowering energy and water consumption, and utilizing recyclable materials. The site covers 590,000 sm2 and the buildings cover 114,000 m2. This is the Airbus' third final assembly line, with two others in France and Germany, and also the first Airbus final assembly line outside Europe. The final assembly line in Tianjin assembles A319 and A320 planes and is expected to produce 44 aircrafts a year by 2011. It was set up in November 1999 with a total investment of USD 25 million. The factory occupies a total area of 24,000M2. In April 2001, the company started formal production of new series of multi9 products including C65 Miniatrue Circuit Breaker & Residual Current Devices, AnJia® Package Series, Mini Pragma Enclosures. The port was established by the approval of the State Council in August 2006. The port Area is divided into dock operating area, logistic processing area and port comprehensive supporting service area, thus giving full play to several functions. By 2010, Dongjiang is estimated to occupy 30 km2 area. Dongjiang includes a bonded area of 10 km2, which is the biggest of its kind in China.
