This seminar will review the key Customs and related supply-chain issues for the following points:

- VAT refund rates

Stanely Shen, Transportation&Trade Manager, Tyco Security Division APAC
Stanley has over 15 years experience in logistics, customs, US , China and regional trade compliance, proven track record in trade distributes resolving, various government body communication , working with cross function team to manage trade compliance crisis . Particularly, help business unit to assess different business model in compliance manner, build tax efficient supply chain in the region. Provide advice for business expansion, investment in this emerging market with high risk environment.

Donna Dong, Head of Customs and Trade Compliance, BayerMaterialScience China
Donna has extensive knowledge of China customs legislation, foreign investment policy, foreign exchange control and very experienced in China's export VAT refund scheme. She is the head of Customs and Trade Compliance, BayerMaterialScience China. During her two-year working at BMS, she has established a customs and trade compliance team of 6 staff and has been providing customs related advisories to the existing businesses and new projects and business. She has established internal customs compliance review procedure for all BMS legal entities in China.

Kae-por Chang, Managing Director, EasyCargo
Mr. Chang has over 20 years of senior management experience in global supply chain management, logistics, distribution, IT, and regulatory compliance. Currently, Mr. Chang is the Managing Director of EasyCargo, a company specialized in integrating compliance requirements into supply chain management for both General and Processing Trade in China. Prior to EasyCargo, Mr. Chang was the COO for Imagitas, a company focusing on creating public private partnerships with the government agencies.  Imagitas received two "Reinventing Government Awards" from the Vice President of the United States for their work with the US Postal Service to develop and operate the Movers Guide, Welcome Kit, and Movers Guide Online.  He was responsible for the overall operations including PMO, supply chain management, service delivery, and IT.  The company with investors including the Carlyle Group and Bain Capital was successfully sold to Pitney Bowes for $265MM in 2005.

Damon Paling, Partner, PwC
Damon has 11 years experience in Asia advising companies on customs, trade and related supply-chain and logistics matters, the last 5 years of which have been spent in Shanghai, China. Damon assists clients in various areas, including: customs audit and investigation dispute resolution, customs compliance and opportunity reviews, establishing customs-supply chain efficient business models, establishing regional distribution centres, establishing a customs centre of excellence, reverse logistics and low cost sourcing.

Michael Jiang, Director of Worldtrade Management Service, PwC

Michael is a Director with PwC's Worldtrade Management Service practice in Shanghai, China. Michael has over 16 years of industry-based experience in customs, trade compliance, logistics, supply chain, and contract manufacturing management. Michael is experienced in the areas of Processing Trade, General Trade, other Trade Modes such as duty exemptions and reductions, compliance self-assessment and compliance monitoring, resolution of customs audits and investigations, manufacturing site selection/negotiation with China government, US export control/HKG TID Strategic Commodity Control consulting and implementation, L/C, and supply chain solution development and supply chain security assessment.  Michael's years of experience and strong analytical skills and concise written report delivery in English and Chinese results in clear recommendations that enable management to readily make informed decisions about future actions.
