Grand Power Logistics Group, a leading China-based international logistics provider, this month reported that its 70%-owned subsidiary, Grand Power Logistics Development  had signed a memorandum of understanding to develop the Yangshan International Container Transit Logistics Park.

Behind that somewhat formal language is the idea of a transit port to deal with both outgoing and incoming transport.

Yangshan International Container Transit Logistics Park will be at the north end of the port and will cover 867,700 sq m of reclamation land.
The Logistics Park will facilitate the transhipment of containers arriving into and departing from Yangshan deep sea port to their final destination points.
Under the terms of the agreement the total estimated investment to develop the Logistics Park was expected to be approximately $485m.
